At Le Piot, we specialise in creating delicious vegetarian food using local and seasonal products. The Gers is well-known for its foie gras and magret de canard – perhaps it is less well-known for its fabulous daily markets, where one can find ancient varieties of root vegetables throughout winter, locally grown asparagus & gariguette strawberries in April, and melons which are produced literally 10 minutes up the road in Lectoure, all through the summer. These are the ingredients that find their way to Piot plates.

 

We offer a four course vegetarian evening meal, using the pick of the local produce (come on a Tuesday, Friday or Saturday for markets less than 10 minutes from Le Piot to see for yourselves) with an Embidoure or St Mont wine for 25 euros. In the winter, you can sit in the warm red Russian dining room and eat beetroot soup and roasted vegetables with feta. In the summer months, you can sit on the covered lower terrace, next to the river Gers and watch the sun set, eating chilled gazpacho made from local, organic tomatoes and pancakes with cêpes. Lunches are also available on request. We are open all year round & are always pleased to cook for you.....
